First Political Pundits Episode!

On Tuesday November 17th, 2015: The Presidential politics podcast!

Rhonda Sitnikau, Mark Becker, Daniel Jones, and Adam Funk are lined up to discuss the candidates, the issues, and give insights into where they think our country is headed.

There will be a small studio audience, a live stream, and lots of great insights. I can't say it enough: I'm so lucky to have this line-up. Four of the area's best and brightest. If you are interested in shooting questions to the panel, please feel free to submit them via Twitter.

Crazy Halloween Colors

Happy Halloween/Thanksgiving time. Decided to swap out all the standard "IBE" colors for some crazy fall oranges, purples and blues. It's sort of crazy, and I wouldn't want to look at it all the time, but it's fun for a month. Building the new Ideas By Elliot Website on all modern standards made this work a lot better. Aside from photos, sponsors, and podcast client logos, there are no raster images.

Everything is either SVG or vector fonts.

Built for the FUTURE.

I made some controversial choices that you might be interested in hearing about. It's not really something for show listeners in general, so I don't want to burden anyone with my ramblings. I want to touch on some of the design and development choices that I made for the Ideas By Elliot website.

Ideas By Elliot, Your Device, and HTML 5

This website makes extensive use of modern HTML 5 and CSS 3 technology with a tiny bit of JavaScript sprinkled in to achieve a few interactive portions (like playing podcasts!). Because 60+% of the traffic to the website has been mobile, quickly the decision was made to not even support out-of-date technology. This means only the last two versions of all browsers are supported. In the case of Microsoft's browsers, this means only Internet Explorer 10, 11, and Edge are supported.

First Post!!

Yesterday, I got the best compliment I could have received. I was a little blown away, so I'm sure I won't get it word for word. From an upcoming guest, "You need to keep doing this audio blog thing you're doing. I'm not trying to give you a big head or anything - in fact I don't even really like you - but you need to keep doing this. It could become a big deal."

That's a previous guest.
